Homeschooling Aids

We will be providing resources on homeschooling from a distinctly Reformed and Presbyterian perspective. These materials will uphold the biblical principles we hold dear—such as avoiding any depictions of Christ, presenting a consistent and historical view of the roles of men and women according to Scripture, and rejecting modern egalitarian ideals that blur the distinct roles God has ordained.

When we began homeschooling our boys, we noticed that a lot of resources failed to uphold these values, and that’s why we are committed to providing content that stays true to our confessional standards and the Word of God.

Starting out, we found ourselves floundering because there were so few ministers or elders who could give solid, biblical guidance in these areas. The resources available often didn’t align with our Reformed confessional standards, and we had to wade through a lot of material that either compromised or outright contradicted biblical truth. For example, we joined a homeschooling co-op led by moms from Reformed churches, but even there, they were celebrating feminism and holding up figures like Martin Luther King Jr. as heroes—ideas that run contrary to a truly biblical worldview.

It was disheartening to see these influences creeping into the homeschool community, even among those who claimed to be Reformed. As a father and mother trying to raise our boys in the fear and admonition of the Lord, it became clear that finding faithful, consistent guidance rooted in Scripture was going to be an uphill battle. That’s why we are so passionate about providing resources that stay true to the faith, free from the modern cultural compromises that have infiltrated even Reformed circles.

To this end, we will be providing book and curriculum reviews, as well as insights into the various homeschooling companies and publishers—giving the good, the bad, and the ugly of it all.
